über mich- Gedächtnisse in Deutschland: Nach Heidelberg

The journey to Heidelberg from Mannheim took about 30 mins. Once you alight from the bus at Bismarkplatz, you'll see "hauptstraße". Walk along this street, and you'll find many shops on both rows, some of them include Mango, Subway, Haagen Daiz. Haha and i ate Subway for lunch! "Hauptstraße" will take a person 20 mins on foot to reach the end of the street. Its not really that tiring actually. I found it rather enjoyable! But, of course i could only do window shopping!

The skies here looks just so beautiful! It enhances the pictures i took of the buildings.

I went into Heiliggeistkirche and there was someone playing the organ. Apparently, its a practise session. It reminds me of my secondary school days when i have chapel in Aldersgate. This church has a history that it once consist of both catholics and protestants. I miss church!

Hotel Ritter has a history of having many important visitors stayed there in the past

This part of the castle is the Schloss which has been accidently bombed in the past as, the place used to keep gun powder and stuff. Here are the pics of the ruins.

Oh and not to forget! i climbed up 308 steps in order to take those pics of the castle ruins. Evidence below! haha.

After exercising, i do deserve a break, don't i? This Himbeere Küchen i tried ist nicht schlect. The taste is not too bad. Next time i want to try another cake which my friend introduced, which is like a butter cake with custard filling, almonds splashed on top and then finally with a layer of sugar. Yum!

Alte Brück is the oldest bridge in Heidelberg. One of main attractions in Heidelberg.

This place is where many philosophers and poets go to for inspiration. Its slightly covered with the bare trees but if u see carefully, there are pockets of hideouts.
